Buxted were keen to capitalise on good recent from and got out of the traps quickly, dominating play for the first 25 minutes, and taking the lead in the first ten througha  pressurised own goal.  Unfortunately this start could not be sustained and Buxted allowed an opposing striker to run all the way across the box before firing unhindered past an the outstretched palms of White on goal.  As the game went on, and the whether closed in the draw looked more and more likely, with neither side really creating any decent scoring chances.  Buxted were put under pressure in the last ten minutes due to losing Whitmarsh to a straight red, but managed to hold on to a well earnt point and continue the momentum gathered over the christmas period.
