Reinforced by recent good form, Buxted travelled hopefully
but returned empty handed. In a generally lack lustre game,
the visitors sucumbed to a score in the tenth minute when
Pilgrims latched on to a rebound, worked a space and
thrashed the ball past helpless keeper White. The Buxted
back four were competent enough thereafter, and indeed for
twenty minutes in the second half Buxted seemed to be
getting on top, but were unable to get through. The
Introduction of Karl Harrison the middle of the park
countered the Pilgrim aerial superiority and Mcdougall had
another good day, but Pilgrims rallied and played out a one
goal victory.
