Buxted
converted a good team performance into a well deserved share of
the points, particularly as there were a number of last
minute changes forced on the squad. Buxted lead on the
turn by a score from terry walker, who also repeated last
weeks triple of twice hitting the woodwork.
The second half began with Fairwarp pulling back
to level pegging as Buxted allowed them to dribble through the
centre of defence to strike back. From this point the
chances came thick and fast at both ends, Buxted having two
chances cleared off the line from Mcphail, and a freekick from
Morris turned past the upright. The infatigueable Chris
Scott down the right, and Chris Rees at Centre back impressed
for the visitors, but it was Russ Curd who was again the Buxted
star player.
