The less said about our exit from the cup the better. A bright start gave us a deserved 2 – 0 lead with well made and taken goals from Noodles and Ricky Parish, but Burgess Hill pulled the score line back to 2 – 1 on the cusp of half-time. The second half saw the division 6 flyers playing sensible, direct football on a sticky pitch score a further two goals to take the lead early in the second half at 2 – 3. Chances were made and missed but defensive errors again were at the root of our defeat. Those that were on their game worked hard but could not compensate for an individual below par performance and the whole team deteriated as the game went on. A Saturday to forget…
