In a contest closer to a whitehall farce than a game of football, Buxted eventually and luckily overcame a 10 man Newick.  The first half saw a catelogue of chances missed by Buxted.  The second half deteriorated, no team can miss so many chances without suffering the consequences and thus it was, Newick going ahead after a defensive mishap.  The visitors carved out further chances and only Clive white prevented a second.

Once again Buxted were in arrears, perhaps the team need adversity to got it going!  This time it was halftime sub Bryan Gow who came up with a response, a fine drive from outside of the box beating the newick keeper all ends up.  The second came from diligent work by Ricky Parish, harrying the keeper into conceeding an own goal.

Man of the Match was Gavin Horne for another assured performance.
