Second Team Player Profiles

Lloyd Massey
New to the club in 2008 Lloyd brings with him a big character, strong and passionate whenever he pulls on the Buxted shirt. He has thrown himself into Buxted life and was one of the famous 14 to complete the Raise the Roof Cycle ride in May 09. Generally considered as a leftback, Lloyd can also put in a good delivery from left wing if the need arises. Off the field Lloyd is a Builder and is always happy to help the club out when asked
Status: Injured
John Jeffery
John Jeffery made the switch from Maresfield to Buxted in 2008 and hasn't looked back. 2008/09 John spent half his time with the first team, and half with the seconds and this season has been keeping order at the back for the seconds leading by example...
John is a centreback by trade and is always vocal on the pitch trying to organise and motivate players, ensuring nobody lets their guard slip. Not necessarily the friend of the officials Johns discipline could be better but its only his passion to win that causes the occasional outburst!
Status: Active
Dean Brooker
Dean Brooker has arrived in Buxted with a bang...make that a capital BANG! Its only November and already he is on 13 goals! Both footed and wonderfully balanced Dean is capable of taking on any defender and turning them inside out with a cracking shot with either foot.
Not the biggest of centre forwards Dean is strong in the challenge and bounces off and rides crunching tackles with ease and mostly with a grin on his face...More than this Dean brings huge positivity and enthusiasm to the side, always up beat with lots of insight and is one of the leaders on the pitch keeping the team going with lots of talk.
The success of Buxteds season will hang on his goals and influence...
Status: Back in action...31 and counting
Arron Mogridge
Arron Mogridge - another of the outstanding young players the seconds have been blessed with this season. An equal deputy to first team keeper Gavin Horne, Arron is known for his first class handling, and swift distribution. A great character to have in the team Arron is a calming influence on the backline and a number 1 the whole team can rely upon when the going gets tough.
Several flawless displays this season have earnt Arron the admiration and frustration of opposing managers...but hands off...his ours!!
